Update February 2022 – As the 25th Annual RMAI Annual Conference comes to a close, the RMAI Legislative Fund continues to advocate, support, and lobby on behalf of the Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) industry. Since 2011, the Legislative Fund has spent $1,9750,000 defending the ARM industry and has worked in 36 states to advocate on behalf of its members and the industry as a whole.
May 2021 – Spire Recovery Solutions donates to Receivables Management Association International’s (RMAI) Legislative Fund to extend the impact of advocacy activities and drive initiatives supporting the critical role the receivables industry plays in the economic cycle. Spire’s donation will help provide financial resources that enable RMAI to engage and educate legislators around the country and to more effectively support or oppose legislation that affects our industry.
RMAI Legislative Fund
RMAI created the Legislative Fund to ensure businesses are protected and informed. As members of RMAI, Spire Recovery Solutions has access to their diligent research regarding federal and state legal decisions and legislative actions. Contributions to this fund will help RMAI further serve as a voice of the debt buying industry, representing members before federal and state agencies and in the courts.
Government Advocacy Work
RMAI’s message to legislators around the country has stressed that our members support reasonable and balanced reforms but will always oppose legislation that stifles legitimate business activities. RMAI maintains a strong presence in Washington, D.C. and continues to develop influential relationships with the CFPB, FTC, and OCC. We are grateful to have this unparalleled level of representation and an organization committed to helping our industry professionals navigate changes in this challenging landscape.
Dedication to Progress
“Spire Recovery Solutions’ Bronze Level donation will contribute to the resources that lobby for and against our ability to do business,” says Joseph Torriere, President of Spire Recovery Solutions. “We trust RMAI to help us stay current with all market trends and keep the pulse on all regulatory matters within the receivables industry. They help Spire stay forward-thinking and help us anticipate opportunities to shape progress and the future of the industry.”
Legislative Fund Support
As active members of RMAI, we support and participate in these important initiatives and are proud to know our donation will help serve our industry and individual businesses. RMAI members clearly define and communicate industry-wide needs in one concise voice to accomplish our common purpose and goals. Spire Recovery Solutions is dedicated to the mission of RMAI’s Legislative Fund and looks forward to working towards many successful advocacy efforts to come.
