Maintaining Our High Standards Through Memberships
Update February 2022 – The 25th Annual RMAI Annual Conference was held Feb. 7-10, 2022 in Las Vegas, NV. Members from across the country came together to celebrate successes and discuss the challenges and changes the receivables management industry is facing. Held at the Aria Resort and Casino, the annual conference is a confirmation of the benefits RMAI has to offer for Spire and our industry colleagues.
Spire provides compassionate interactions and convenient options for consumers while utilizing optimized technology for accuracy and efficiency. This standard is met via our efforts to stay at the forefront of industry trends, changes, and compliance. We are proud to demonstrate our commitment to operating with the best practices and standards with these industry memberships:
Receivables Management Association International
Spire Recovery Solutions is a member of the Receivables Management Association International (RMAI). RMAI is a non-profit trade association that represents more than 550 companies supporting the purchase, sale, and collection of receivables on the secondary market. Through RMAI’s extensive networking, educational, and business development opportunities, Spire expands our knowledge and compliance to not only keep up with industry changes but also maintain the relationships that move both our clients and consumers forward.
Founded in the late 1930s, ACA International – or the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals – works to bring together third-party collection agencies, law firms, asset buying companies, creditors, and vendor affiliates to influence positive change in the ARM industry. ACA focuses on six core values – Leadership and governance, member awards, state associations, international cooperation, educational sessions, and volunteer opportunities to tie together their goal of articulating the value of the credit and collection industry. Representing over 230,000 industry employees, Spire utilizes the resources ACA has to offer to round out our team’s knowledge and experience within the industry.
As a New York-based business, Spire strives to be at the forefront of any local and state changes that may occur. We are members of the New York State Collectors Association. NYSCA is composed of 129 collection agencies and professionals that work to promote and advance the interests and general welfare of the industry through education, networking, and encouraging the adoption of legislation. Through our close partnership with NYSCA, Spire remains focused on understanding all impactful legislation moving through our home state.
National Federation of Independent Business
In mid-2021, Spire expanded our memberships to include work with the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). The NFIB is a member-driven organization advocating for small and independent business owners nationwide. The NFIB works to bring value to its members through resources that help increase growth, stability, and profitability while providing opportunities to connect with its over 350,000 members. Spire is proud to be a member of an organization dedicated to protecting small business rights in the United States.
Debt Trader Network
DebtTrader was founded upon the core belief that all participants in the financial services ecosystem should be treated with respect. The network provides solutions to clients helping them elevate standards and safeguards for over 10 million of their accounts. Its state-of-the-art cloud-based platform helps connect hundreds of organizations that share a commitment to the highest standards of professionalism in the receivables management industry. Through a technology-based approach, DebtTrader strengthens compliance and competitive partnerships between sellers, buyers, and their collection agencies.
Spire’s Certifications Give Security To Customers
While our memberships help Spire maintain the highest level of compliance and standards that our customers have come to expect, Spire is also committed to our certifications and accreditations that keep our customers safe and more secure knowing we adhere to the highest industry practices and safety standards. These certifications keep us not only compliant with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) but also all other relevant laws and regulations that oversee the ARM industry.
In addition to our membership with RMAI International, Spire maintains its status as a Certified Receivables Business with RMAI. Spire is honored to comply with RMAI’s high standards of compliance. To become certified, RMAI conducts a background check that confirms businesses comply with uniform and rigorous industry standards and best practices. The standards address core principles including account documentation, chain of title, consumer complaint and dispute resolution, statute of limitation compliance, vendor management, credit bureau reporting, resale, as well as other relevant operating procedures.
SOC 1 Type 1 Certification
Customer trust requires not only an honest and open relationship but also a commitment to maintaining the highest data security standards the industry has to offer. Spire maintains a Service Organization Control (SOC) 1 Type 1 audit certification from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. This audit certifies that our company has the controls and procedures in place to effectively manage and protect our consumers’ data. It validates the focus we put on the practices, processes, and procedures that we implement throughout the entire organization and recognizes our compliance with the strict industry regulations that surround data privacy and data security.
Through our industry relationships, memberships, and certifications, Spire Recovery Solutions has maintained a commitment to providing the most compliant and comprehensive customer service possible. These memberships and certifications help us not only maintain rigorous safety standards but also provide us with an avenue for continuous improvement and development as we guide our customers through the ARM industry.
