Spire Recovery Solutions is proud to announce its support for two impactful organizations during the first quarter of 2025: The Freedom 13 and Project Paws Alive. These contributions reflect Spire founders’ Jacob Torriere and Joseph Torriere, both U.S. military veterans, commitment to giving back to the community and supporting causes that make a significant difference in the lives of veterans and public safety personnel.

Supporting The Freedom 13’s Mission to Honor Veterans

The Freedom 13 is a nonprofit organization dedicated to honoring the memory of the 13 service members who lost their lives during the withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021. Founded by Mark Schmitz, father of Marine LCpl Jared Schmitz, one of the fallen heroes, the organization’s mission is to build recreational retreat villages for veterans across all 50 states. Each retreat aims to provide a sanctuary for veterans and their families, offering activities such as hiking, fishing, and counseling services to support their well-being.

Spire Recovery Solutions’ donation will assist The Freedom 13 in advancing its ambitious goal of constructing 50 camps on over 50,000 acres of land, with 13 homes per camp. Once completed, these retreats will have the capacity to serve up to 31,200 veterans annually, providing them with a place to recharge and reconnect with their loved ones.

Enhancing K9 Unit Safety with Project Paws Alive

Project Paws Alive is a nonprofit organization committed to providing vital protective equipment to underfunded law enforcement, fire, search and rescue, and military K9 units nationwide. Their mission encompasses supplying K9 bullet and stab protective vests, first aid field trauma kits, cooling vests, and other essential gear to ensure the safety and effectiveness of these four-legged heroes.

Recognizing the crucial role that K9 units play in public safety, Spire Recovery Solutions’ contribution will aid Project Paws Alive in equipping these units with the necessary tools to protect both the K9s and their handlers. By focusing on quality over quantity, Project Paws Alive ensures that all equipment provided meets the highest standards, thereby enhancing the operational capabilities of K9 teams across the country.

A Commitment to Community and Service

At Spire Recovery Solutions, corporate social responsibility is a cornerstone of the company’s values. Supporting organizations like The Freedom 13 and Project Paws Alive aligns with Spire’s dedication to honoring veterans and enhancing public safety. By investing in these causes, Spire aims to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who have served the nation and the communities they protect.

Spire Recovery Solutions encourages others to learn more about these organizations and consider supporting their missions.
